Return to Eden

About

On holiday in Morocco, Charlie finds himself in a house that is instantly familiar to him. The vivid memories it holds transport him back to his childhood in London, when he first met Amira, the girl next door. It also recalls his first time in Morocco when having just obtained his language degree in Spain, he visited the Amira’s family, now back in their home country. En route he found himself challenging the political and moral attitudes of his contemporaries with whom he shared part of his journey. And on arrival, still questioning his sexuality, he became besotted by Amira’s younger brother Rachid, by then a mature and attractive adult. When they meet again in England, despite Charlie’s changed circumstances, the pair embark on a relationship; whereupon they face the challenge of negotiating the bumps in the road that Rachid’s loyalty to his religion places before them.
